Covid-19 response drives decentralized IT Ops
As Covid-19 continues to dramatically affect the world, Interlink Software is squarely focused on supporting its customers and partners to continue to serve the thousands of employees and customers reliant on their services.
Without the luxury of detailed, strategic planning, our customers have been forced to adapt at speed to current events, supporting an unprecedented number of employees as they transition to working from home. Interlink Software included.
IT Operations themselves have followed suit with many of the organisations we work with implementing a distributed IT operations command center – overnight in many cases. For most, if not all, this is the first time ITOps teams have ever been expected to run their command center workload from home on a 24/7 basis – for the foreseeable future.
Single-pane-of-glass visibility & collaboration support distributed working
Many of our global, enterprise level customers have seamlessly moved IT Ops from a centralized, command center, to working and managing their critical services from home as the situation has evolved. Interlink’s Hybrid IT Infrastructure Monitoring platform has had a key part to play.
With our ability to layer on top, integrate with existing monitoring tools, bringing multiple data streams into a single-pane-of-glass view, we've helped ensure that our customers have the capability to transpose their existing centralized office-based arrangements to a distributed model.
Leveraging customers’ pre-existing VPNs and trusted remote working security configurations, Interlink’s collaboration capabilities have also proved to be a key enabler in making distributed working happen. Collaboration capabilities, including alert ownership, assign, supervisor assign, comment, close, etc., empower the IT teams we work with to continue serving their businesses in as close to a ‘business as usual’ manner as is possible in these times.
